Lightweight PV modules and dual-axis solar trackers
SunOyster Systems GmbH (SOS) is a start-up with 10 employees. SOS is based in Halstenbek near Hamburg and has a production facility on the GreenTEC Campus in Nordfriesland. SOS has been developing SunOyster technology since 2012. The SunOyster 16 has already received the Solar Keymark certificate, which opens up state subsidies throughout Europe for buyers.
We have also used our extensive expertise in the field of solar tracking to develop the PVmovers solar tracker, which generates purely electrical energy. We also have further ideas for innovative solar trackers, which we are currently driving forward in stealth mode.
As innovation is in our genes, we also install innovative lightweight solar modules for bonding to roofs or facades.
2017: SOS is the first company in northern Germany to win the prestigious EU SME funding for the further development of the SunOyster 16 at the very first attempt
2018: SOS wins the Future Star Award in Beijing
2020: SOS receives funding from the state of Schleswig-Holstein for the development of the SunOyster 8 and the solar tracker PVmover
2021: The SunOyster 16 receives Solar Keymark certification
2022: SOS carries out crowdfunding for approx. 1.5 million euros
2023: SOS begins installation of a 70-batch PVmover
2024: SOS wins the energy starter competition of a leading energy supplier (EDP) in Lisbon with its lightweight PV modules
